I have been studying vocal pedagogy and music performance for 15years. During my studies I have worked with some of the leading voice teachers and coaches in Ireland, UK, France, Italy and USA, including Mark Wildman (head of Vocal studies at the RAM), Stephen Robertson (Head of VocalStudies at the RCS) and Robert Dean (current teacher). I have also had masterclasses with the likes of Thomas Allen, Roderick Williams, Robert Tear, Sarah Walker, Elly Ameling, Teresa Berganza, Malcolm Martineau and Graham Johnson. I am delighted to call Dennis O'Neill, Ann Murray and Jorge Chaminé my professional mentors.
Since basing myself in London following my studies in 2011, I have opened up a studio for singing in my SE London home. I have relished the opportunity to share my knowledge and understanding of vocal pedagogy and various musical styles with students of all ages and abilities. I have evolved my own way of teaching, combining sound old world techniques with modern scientific research. I develop a lesson plan for each individual student but it is based on one overall holistic approach to singing.
Learning to sing should be informative, energising and lots of FUN!
Each pupil will be treated with patience, friendliness and respect. Lessons will consist of technique, style, interpretation and pronunciation. Everyone has an individual and unique voice. Together, we will unlock your full potential, be it with or without examination. Each lesson is recorded so that the pupil can listen back and use it as a practicing tool in their own time.
After my lessons, I hope you will go away with a spring in your step and a song in your heart, giving you more self-motivation, self-discipline, confidence and self-expression.

I've enjoyed immensely working with Jamie and can feel a noticeable improvement in my singing."
Not wishing to sound like a soap powder commercial, but Jamie gets great results in super quick time. Convinced I was an alto, he had me singing miles above where I thought I could in the very first lesson. Try it and see if you can see the difference..."
