BA (Hons) in Popular Music Studies (2:1) Btec National Diploma In Popular Music Practise (Triple Distinction)
Grade 5 Music Theory
Experience:
I have been teaching guitar for the last 4 years, both one on one from home as well as in schools. I am a seasoned player in the Leeds music scene and have gigged and recorded throughout the UK & Ireland. I have extensive experience in both performance and in the studio, having played and recorded with a number of bands and artists, as well as having done session work.
Teaching Style:
I teach in a relaxed and patient environment that is both professional and achieving. I am a keen motivator interested in getting the best from my students.
ABRSM Guitar Grades as well as The Rock School Syllabus can be
taught upon request. However, this is not essential and the use of these syllabuses is entirely up to the individual. I am happy tailoring each lesson to the needs of the student, what we learn is up to you!
Specialties:
I am a versatile player and am happy teaching many styles including Rock, Pop, Blues, Country, Jazz, Metal, Funk, Soul and Folk. I am happy to teach all levels and ages, from beginner to advance and children to adults.
